These socks are the revival of vintage socks woven with Zokki knitting technique. Today's socks use elastic chemical yarn for the fitting yarn to ensure tight fitting, but Zokki knitting is done without using fitting yarn. The longer ribbed cuff and variations in the knitting pattern successfully replicate the unique silhouette of vintage socks. The rare socks made of 100% cotton without fitting yarn are woven on an old sock-knitting machine at a traditional factory in Nara. Uneven cotton slub yarn is used to produce a natural and classic-like finish.
